Here at Direct4baby, we love a good party. So, five months after opening our second Direct4baby store in Aintree, Liverpool, we had our first baby event to celebrate the launch!
Store Manager Taite and his amazing team worked with our marketing & social media department to design a day that would promote the store, yet give parents a relaxed & informative experience too.
Suppliers from all the leading baby brands were there helping our customers with their expert demonstrations, advice & exclusive offers. They were generous with their freebies too so there were some fantastic gift bags to giveaway. The sales reps from Silver Cross, iCandy, Babyzen, Britax, Snuz and many more all took part on this occasion.
Ali and Holly from Ergobaby and Tula were there to showcase the newest baby carrier on the market, the Aerloom. Made with 87% post-consumer, recycled polyester yarns, (that’s 26 Plastic Bottles!) have been used in the making of this carrier so you are making not only a fantastic choice for your baby's health but the health of our planet too.
The Maxi-Cosi team brought along the exclusive NEW Adorra Lux Pebble Pro Travel System. This beautiful travel system includes the pushchair, carrycot, footmuff, an i-Size Maxi-Cosi Pebble Pro Car Seat for only £899! This is one of our most popular infant car seats at the moment as not only is it i-Size compliant but the isofix base spins, making it easier for parents to get their baby in and out of the car.
For those that have already made all the big purchases such as travel systems, car seats and nursery room furniture, Purflo were on hand to explain the benefits of their sleep range. The Sleep Tight Baby Bed is the first of its kind to be certified for unsupervised, overnight sleep from birth. The Sleep Tight Baby Bed is ideal for providing a safe and familiar environment when travelling to grandparent’s houses, hotel rooms and much more. Their range of breathable swaddles and sleeping bags also proved very popular with our customers.
We are huge fans of the iCandy Peach Cerium and we know that our customers are too, so we decided to giveaway a FREE pushchair worth £1300 in our #winmeacerium competition on our Instagram page. Customers were invited to take a picture with the pram and share it on their social media page. It was a great hit and we announced the lucky winner at 9pm when the shop closed. Congratulations to Amy who seemed rather shocked when we called her to let her know she was the winner!
We love to help support smaller local businesses too, so we had Liverpool parenting experts there running sessions throughout the day on preparing for birth, breastfeeding, sleep and baby development to support you in making the most informed parenting choices. Taking you from bricking it to feel excited, confident and supported, Empowered Bumps work with expectant parents with 5* rated, evidence based, interactive pregnancy classes in the Liverpool and Southport area.
The fantastic team at were in store all day offering advice and even offered our customers a free yoga session! Water Babies is an amazing company that offers baby and toddler swimming lessons. There are numerous benefits to baby swimming lessons. Not only are they brilliant for child development, they are also the perfect place to bond with your little one. Whether you choose to bottle or breast feed your baby it is always a relief to know there is help out there so we were really pleased to welcome Breastfeed Support Sefton to our baby event.
The charity are a free source of information and support for new and expectant families across Sefton. The team was in store in the afternoon answering all your feeding questions to let you know what your choices are and where to find support. Belly by Racheal were here all evening to chat to customers about all things hypnobirthing, fitness and wellbeing. Their amazing physiotherapist and owner of the Body Clinic, Faye, was also here to talk all things pelvic health for pre and post-natal women and pilates exercises that can help your recovery.
Baby Bear Den Massage and Yoga are a family and baby hub that run a variety of classes to support families from pregnancy and beyond in the Liverpool area. Overall, we had a wonderful (albeit rather exhausting) day meeting new customers and helping them along their pregnancy journey.
