When to give baby first bath?
There aren't any restrictions on when you should give your baby a bath, as long as you follow safety precautions and use a suitable baby bath tub. It is advised that you wait until 4-6 weeks of age before introducing them to non perfumed baby soaps. Your baby getting too cold after bathtime poses a bigger risk than them getting a little bit dirty.
How hot should a baby bath be?
A baby bath should be heated to 37 degrees celsius and kept at this temperature. The bath should not go above 38 degrees, nor should it be allowed to become too cold as a baby's delicate skin is more sensitive to temperature. Because of this, we recommend investing in a bath thermometer.
What age can a baby sit in the bath without a seat?
A baby bath seat should only be removed once your baby can confidently pull themselves into a standing position which usually happens at around 10 months of age.
